The Spanish men’s and women’s national teams were crowned champions at the EuroPower Floorball tournament—held from October 16 to 18 in Budapest, Hungary—after delivering an excellent performance that confirms the strong form of Spanish floorball on the international stage.

Men’s team crowned champions after topping their group

The men’s team began their campaign with a commanding 6–1 victory over Hungary. In their second match, Spain once again demonstrated their potential by defeating Italy 7–2.

In their final match, the Spanish side suffered a narrow 6–5 loss to Ukraine. Despite this defeat, their overall performance throughout the tournament allowed them to finish at the top of their group and be crowned EuroPower champions.

Women’s team also shines in Budapest

Meanwhile, the women’s team kicked off the tournament with an impressive 9–4 win against Hungary. In their second match, Spain was unable to secure another victory, falling 3–5. The Spanish side concluded their run in Budapest with a 4–2 win over the hosts—a result that secured them the EuroPower title.

The team leaves with positive momentum heading into their next challenge: the World Championship qualifiers, which will take place from November 11 to 14 in El Escorial.
